Windows of St. Mary’s
Much of the main design elements of the St Mary’s windows are rendered in bevels made from Dalles de Verre glass. Dalles de Verre is glass that is 1” thick and comes in 8” x 12” slabs. The colors that are produced are very intense. I take these slabs—cut them into strips then saw those strips to ½” thick which I can then cut to shape and bevel or carve to produce a three-dimensional effect in my windows.
